A Summary of The Progressive Self Philosophy

SELF-AWARENESS - AND THE ABILITY TO USE CONCEPTUAL CONSISTENCY (NON-CONTRADICTORY REASONING AND LOGIC) - CREATES ALL THE MOTIVATION, INSPIRATION, AND EMOTIONAL BALANCE TO TAKE ACTION AND CHANGE HABITS (AND THUS ACTUALLY CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER) THAT YOU'LL EVER NEED. 


TL;DR: Correct your thinking, and your behavior will naturally correct itself as a consequence,  allowing you to solve the majority of life problems that appear to be keeping you "stuck". Overeating, sleeping in too late, feeling stuck in school/career/your relationship, etc. 

There is a REASON you feel this way. 

It's YOUR job to understand the WHY in a RATIONAL - and thus personally useful - way.

  • Negative thoughts, emotions, and consequently the resulting behavioral anxiety, procrastination, apathy, etc - are often due to a CONTRADICTION (a "not-TRUTH") somewhere in your present belief system/philosophy/paradigm/worldview.

  • Like a broken computer, you're subconsciously (you're presently unaware of what you're doing) running "lines of code" that conflict and CONTRADICT, and thus create the schisms you experience manifesting in your behavior.

  • When CONTRADICTION (not-TRUTH) is eliminated - when a "Perception Correction" takes place - new levels of understanding are achieved (TRUTH is recognized, accepted, and integrated), and negative emotions naturally cease.

  • This frees up emotional energy for Direct Personal Action (I.E. the behavior required to bridge the gap to make the change an easy habit to maintain) in the direction of goals, full force, and with the confidence (emotional balance) of new, applicable Knowledge in hand. 

  • In this way - emotions and their relationship and impact on behavior (their efficacy) - are put in their proper places as catalysts for personal growth, progress, and positive life experiences for yourself and all involved with you - as opposed to endless self-sabotage, feelings of apathy, listlessness, analysis paralysis, etc.

The process is an ever-expanding one of SELF-AWARENESS. When you prioritize the expansion of your self-awareness, you learn to REASON with RATIONAL SOLUTIONS THAT ACTUALLY WORK FOR YOU, ALLOWING YOU TO SOLVE A VARIETY OF YOUR OWN PROBLEMS WITH SEEMINGLY-LESS EFFORT (INTERNAL RESISTANCE TO ACTION) THAN BEFORE. Life then "lines up" and "falls into place" as a natural consequence of Progressing The Self.
